I am a Native Spanish Speaker with over 10 years experience teaching Spanish in a personalised and flexible way.
Relevant experience
It all started on my school holidays. As a way of making some money as a teenager I started teaching Spanish to people visiting Spain on holidays, using role plays and games to help them navigate possible situations they would encounter on their holiday. It was a success!
Fast forward to 2014 I started as a Spanish Assistant in a prestigious school in Northern Ireland.
As a Spanish Assistant my key role was to provide small group and one to one assistance for the Oral A-levels exams and GCSEs along with delivering small classes for beginners within the school who wanted to learn Spanish.
Part of the role consisted in assisting pupils with essays and reviewing assessment providing feedback to both students and teachers.
One of my favourite activities involved in this role was developing teaching materials and fining new ways to teach and review the curriculum by playing games and competitions creating an engaging environment for the students.
Since then I have been doing private tutoring and creating courses online.
In my teaching methods, I incorporate interactive games and friendly competitions among students of small groups to create an engaging and enjoyable learning experience for students.
Role play for real life situations is also a key part of my classes assisting and preparing students to the real life interactions in the Spanish language.
